Welcome
Jill is a journalist and author who has covered people, parenting, New York and sports for clients including The New York Times, New York Magazine and other publications and websites. Her two books help foster communication while creating clever and unique keepsake journals that will keep the family laughing and reflecting for years to come.
JOURNALIST: As a journalist, Jill loves writing about New York City and the varied people of this big small town. For example, she explored the fascinating upbringing and transformation of former drug kingpin Tommy Mickens for the New York Times. After serving 20 years in federal prisons he's finding redemption teaching fitness to seniors -- but what else is he looking for? Jill also writes essays and articles about education, sports, and the relevant issues of the day.
AUTHOR: After writing about parenting and education for a while, Jill broke into book writing with "When We Became Three: A Memory Book for the Modern Family." (Over 50,000 copies sold!) It lets first time parents chronicle the blissful chaos of pregnancy & parenting. It's also great fun! Blogger Linda Wolff @ Carpool Goddess says it's the most clever & creative memory book she's ever seen. Jill also wrote When We Became Four: A Memory Book for the Whole Family, a vibrant, funny memory book that welcomes Baby#2 while celebrating the whole family--especially Big Sib! (So they don't get jealous.)
Jill in Conversation - EVENT: November 13, 2024. To celebrate the launch of Eileen Kelly's new book Small Wonder, Jill will be in conversation with Kelly and Clifford Thompson at Powerhouse Arena.
