The Veggies were the Voice's infamous softball team. We played on Central Park's Great Lawn-- yes, it was that important that we travelled uptown. We were ruthless, obnoxious as hell, and a dynasty in the Publishers' League. Lots of history was made beating Time Magazine, The New York Times, Harpers, etc. We even made it to the NY Post's Page 6.
